The Future Ahead

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

I'm sure that many of us Malaysian students in the medical school regardless wherever we are all over the world have read the article or news stating that there will be 4,000 doctors being produced each year in Malaysia.

And that people are starting to argue about the quality of Malaysia's future doctors now that there will be so many of us. Of course, when there are 4,000 of us, maybe our work as doctors would become easier, faster, or probably more efficient. But only if we have the quality as being a superb doctor.

Erks...

There will always be problems ahead of our lives. Even if we were given the chance to turn the clock back in time and the opportunity to choose a different course, it won't make your life becomes easier now. You will eventually encounter other kinds of problems and obstacles.

Life is a gamble.

Ever so often, when i feel like giving up and just be ignorant of my studies and just why? why didn't i just took up syariah instead?...-_-" I reminded myself that i have made a choice, I just have to make the best of it. Probably, we should listen to Maryam's mother. She said,

"Don't think about what's goin' to happen when you are a houseman or how tough life will be once you become a doctor. Just concentrate in your studies and pass first. Then, you can think about your future."

Just get the degree with flying colors.
If it turns out that you really are not that much into being a doctor, you can still indulge in other professions. You know, my teacher once said, the day will come when even having a degree, you will find diffulty in finding a decent job that suits your qualifications. Oh wait, it already has become a reality now.

As for doctors, maybe it will soon be the norm that many doctors not only will get a master's degree, meaning being a specialist, but also, become a sub-specialist.

Back to the present...Since the new campus of Alex Medical School has been shifted to another place, many of us had to walk to campus. It's tiring., i know, but i thought we are already immune to this tiring-unexpected-hectic-pack schedule-sort of life. I won't really complain coz my mother always tells my siblings and I of how she used to just go to school by walking for 20-30 mins from her house.

So, who am I to complain? But i do know that my parents will feel uneasy(resah jugak kot) knowing i had to walk for 20 mins or so to college plus having to cross a big busy road. Ok, they are parents. They are just doing what they are supposed to do. All parents wants their children to lead a better life than they do. So, dun disappoint them. Get good grades. Hone your skills as a doctor. Don't just become a good doctor. Be a great one. At least one that is loved and respected by the patients.

I believe that the more hectic your life are, the more you'll appreciate your free time, the more organised you will be. Time is life, people.

As for me, not at all ready to face the upcoming mid term exam. I've been doing less studying nowadays and more of if back in high school we call it the co-curricular stuffs. I'll manage one way or another. Less studying might means that i will get poorer grades but my life has become more lively and meaningful as i'm helping people and socializing. Life isn't all about me, it's about all the people around me. Life isn't about getting, it's about giving.

Being happy is not about getting what you want,
It's about being contented with what you have.

Enough philosophies.

word of the day: metacercaria

until next time

wassalam~
