بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
I think there has always been something going around in my mind that i wanted to express out here in this blog but everytime i'm on this new post page, i could not remember it.
Ok, maybe i'll just share this one thing. It's from a book i got for my birthday. I actually got two books from different persons that is for my birthday and one of them actually got to her senses to give me a book written in arabic. I can understand the book but i still need to refer the dictionary for some words i couldn't understand.
Letter from Imam Al-Ghazali to one of his students...the title of the book.
O Son! Amongst the advices of the Rasulullah SAW to his ummah are,
"The sign of Allah's turning away from the slave is occupying himself in what does not concern him. If someone spent an hour of his life in order than that for which he was created, it will be suitable for him that his grief should be prolonged( on the day of resurrection)....until the end .
O Son! How many nights have you spent reading books and depriving yourself from sleep? I do not know what was the reason for this. Woe to you and then woe to you if it was for attaining the privileges of this worldly life, securing its vanities. acquiring high status or position, and showing off in front of your peers. Blesses are you if your purpose was to revive the religion of the prophet, discipline your manners, and tame that soul which inclines and commands you to evil.
But possibly, my favourite phrase is this one, but i still haven't finished reading the book yet:
O Son!
LIVE whatever kind of life you wish... but REMEMBER!
You will inevitably die~
LOVE whomsoever you wish...but REMEMBER! you will depart them~
DO whatever you want, but REMEMBER!
you will be held accountable for your own action~!
Alright, that's it for now.
Word of the day: submental
until next time~
