Weddings are nice :)

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.

My mom has been nagging me to write something in my blog. She is my faithful reader :P I didn't write as much post as I used to all the way through my 3rd year of medical school. Well, this year really has been a roller coaster ride. Not that I've ridden one before though.

Presently, I'm just so thirsty and hungry for some medical lectures. Seriously, I think that I will be so enthusiastic that I just might start doing notes after lectures again, ;P I think I'm just doing some payback time since last semester....well, I wasn't able to really focus and really go all out for my studies. Hoping for a better semester, Insya Allah.

So, I find it rather erm, how do u say it? I can't find the word but my~! I went to many weddings this time I went back to Malaysia for holiday. Just today, a family friend's daughter got married. The bride is actually my senior during high school. The eating place for men and women are separated and most of the guests that came are the kind of which common people would call "alim", meaning all the women wear tudung labuh and you can just count and actually the ones who wear tight baju kurung and tudung singkat are the odd ones out. I asked my friend who came along with me to the wedding a question, "Kalau org luar datang kenduri ni, mesti dorg cakap ni kenduri org PAS kan?" And my friend replied, "Agak ah." But truth is, we are not PAS. Our community don't play politics. We vote during elections but that is just like the responsibility of all citizens right? We are just a community who is trying very hard to apply our knowledge about ISLAM in our daily life. Islam is a way of life, not a tradition. It is not just about solah, zakat, fasting or hajj. It's more than that. So then, what is Islam all about eh? Erm, I don't have enough knowledge nor the ability to explain in a way most people can easily understand what i'm trying to convey, so, I leave it to the readers to ponder about it ;P

Oh yeah, since the bride is my senior and her father is on my late school board, many of my teachers attended the wedding. I got to meet my teachers who used to teach me since I was in standard One! It must be very nostalgic for my teachers to watch me grow. Seriously, they get to see me grow and learn ever since I was 6 years old up until I finished my Form 5 since I went to the same school for 11 years straight.

"Ya Husnun, Imta satirga3 ila misr?" asked my Ustazah who used to teach me Arabic Language when I was in Standard one :) -->Note that she spoke 'ammi.

"Usbu3 elli gai," I replied.

Ok, that was fun actually. Usually during my school years, my ustazah and ustaz would speak arabic to me and I was only able to reply to them in malay. Now, I can reply to them in arabic too. I am very pleased. Btw, most of my ustaz and ustazah are middle east graduates.

Got to meet up with many makcik2 who are also family friends. I would held out my hands and greet them and then they would hold my hands for quite some time and say, "Bila balik sana?" Ok, dah kena halau balek dah ni -.-" Sedar2 diri sikit dan sila start packing, huhu.

current mode: Penat tapi seronok

Wassalam
