بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Back when I was waiting for my SPM results, I started working as a kindergarten teacher at an acquintance's kindergarten. I started since december 2007 until March 2008. Back then, I didn't really like small children. Well, obviously because when they talk, they talk too much, over excessively or they won't talk at all. When they are cranky, they are just dead annoying. I used to just leave them alone when they start to scream and yell and let the other teachers to deal with them. I did my work with total resentment. Though, there are times where I find being a teacher is fun. Those few times that I find my work enjoyable is particularly during conducting nursery rhymes where I have to conduct the children to sing the nursery rhymes and dance to the music beats. I was so bored being surrounded by 3 year olds up to six year olds that I ended up having many chats and conversations with them. Small children...they are not THAT bad actually. It's fun to ask them questions and hear what they have to say because their minds and hearts are still innocent and pure and that their answers are purely genuine without any hipocrisy. And now, I actually miss being around small children that whenever I see a small child, my heart blooms.
My 4 months of working did not go to waste. Without even realising it, I have developed the skills to deal with young children. Well, 4 months is quite a very long time.
I realised it now that I shouldn't have resented my work but try to enjoy it.
It's the same for my elective posting at the hospital.
Although most of the time, we were just sitting around doing nothing but when there is something to do or to watch, the waiting was worth it.
One thing that's very crucial in the hospital, it's hygiene. There are bottles of hand sanitizers all over the ward and it's actually a rule to use the hand sanitizer before and after touching the patient. In the hospital, I concluded that green means sterile. It's not once that a nurse or a doctor sort of scolded me but in a very nice way saying, "Eh, jgn pegang. Ni sterile. Awak tak pakai glove sterile kan?" or simply just say, "Eh...!" They are very strict regarding hygiene since they wanted to avoid hospital acquired infections such as the famous MRSA & Pseudomonas. Currently, there are newer organisms not yet identified infecting the post-operative patients which they just call MRO(Multi resistant Organism). I got this piece of information from the housemen. A patient particularly got infected by an MRO that's resistant to all other antibiotics in the orthopaedic ward that the only antibiotic left for them to use is Ticarcillin. If I remember it correctly, Ticarcillin is very toxic to our body. That bad huh~
Ok, that's it. I'm going to bring a sanitizer with me when we have skills since we are going to touch patients during those sessions. MRSA spreads through skin contact or through contact with a contaminated surface and causes skin infections.

Sounds in an orthopedic operation theatre:
drilling sound...
"Spanar."
"Nat."
"1, 2, 3, 4, 5,..." counting the gauze.
"Shooting image." taking x-rays to make sure the implant is in position.
I don't think I want to be a surgeon. I can't stand standing for long hours.
It's too tiring.
But, it's still too early to decide anything yet. I still have a long journey ahead of me.
Let's just enjoy the ride till the end~!
Thank you very much fellow doctors. Hontou ni arigatou!

Beating me is not important. Harapannya ialah muga ilmu tu lekat. However, I'm glad if my perfomance in the exam is able to motivate other people to try harder, study harder for the exams although I do sometimes find it a bit annoying ;P
Haha.. Sorry x bagitau awal-awal.. Ofcoz.. winning is not important.. berkat ilmu is number 1.. just to make it more fun.. :)
