This is my youngest brother. He will be 8 this coming June.
I've always been what they call bawah ketiak mak ayah ever since I was born up until I finished my SPM. I've never been to boarding school, ever. I went to a private school which is only a 5 minutes drive away from my house. OK, back to solat. When I was little, back when I was 3 or 4 years old I think. I've always watched my mom performing her solah. I was always the observant type. Of course at first, I tried tugging at her telekung to ask her for things and such. I called her, "ummi, ummi,...?" And I was astonished that my mom just ignored me and continued performing her solah. So, I waited for a while but then it took so long for mom to finished(at that time, I felt like, "lamanya, ble nak abes ni?") I went away. After my mom finished her solah, she told me that I should not disturb her when she is praying. Therefore, any other time my mom wass praying, it bothers me because I'm bored. I don't remember why I was bored but because I was bored, I would usually watch my mom prays. After some time, my mom gave me a telekung and asked me, "Nak ikut solat tak?" So, it looked sort of fun at that time. Wearing the telekung and following my mother's actions. But I was never able to complete one solah ;P at that time. I would just follow maybe for a rak3ah or two and then I would slip away, :P~ Coz I dunno what to recite during the solah yet, so it was very boring that time.
When I enter pre-school at the age of 5 years old. They have a session for practical lessons on solah. That's where I learn and memorised all the recitations that we are supposed to recite during solah.
My youngest brother on the other hand, has so many siblings above him. He gets to see his siblings and his parents pray 5 times a day. So, since he was very little like the picture above, he gets to see many people pray in front of him. It's very adorable actually. When he was able to crawl a little and started to develop his arm and leg's strength, do you know what did he do? While we were praying and started to rukuk, he suddenly followed us and try to make a rukuk act. It was very adorable ok. When we drop down and sujud, he obediently followed. His sujud was proper too though his rukuk act was very unstable, lol.
Now he's almost 8. He never prays alone when at home. When I was back home due to the recent evacuation, he would always says to me, "Kak dah solat ke belum? Nak solat dengan kak." Tapi...lepas solat tu cepat je nak lari -.-" When I'm not home, it seems that he usually prays with my mom but when I was home recently, he would always wants to pray with me. I dunno why though.
Sekarang dia dah besar. Dah tak putih, dah tak comel camni dah.
The conclusion is, solat ni kena expose kat anak sejak kecil, sejak dia bayi lagi. Biar dia jadi curious masa kecik2 tu tengok org dok solat. Bila anak dah 7 tahun, latih dia solat 5 waktu. Jangan bagi dia tinggal. Biar solat tu jadi darah daging dia. Biar sampai anak tu rasa, kalau dia tinggal solat je, rasa tak sedap hati, rasa bersalah. Bila sesuatu perkara tu dah jadi rutin dan kebiasaan kita, memang susah dah nak ditinggalkan, kan?
Sekian, wassalam~ |
