It's been sometime...been holding back for some time actually and now i think i wanna burst. I'm going back to egypt in a couple of days. Really dun hav the urge and feel to pack. Now, all of the memories of my time spent in egypt during the last 12 mths came back to me that i actually can't go to sleep last nyte! What the...? You know, it made me become some sort of insomnia or something.

The first thing that flashed back to me was the time when i went to find an apartment for my housemates-to-be and i to rent. I went with a friend after having our lecture during the very start of our 2nd semester. We went to building by building asking whether there are any apartments available for rental. We didn't want to use a simsar(brocker) if possible. Yeah, it was funny actually...bcoz we tried to communicate with the bawwabs and they find it hard to understand us and the same goes for us. it was extremely funny when we had to speak extremely slow, word-by-word and there's even this one time we said to the bawwab:

"Marratan taniah..."we spoke very slowly too
and the bawwab laughed at us, humph~

We went on walking along the straits from syatby till camp chezar and weren't able to find any building whose bawwab will admit they have an empty apartment for rental. Oh wait, there's two apartment actually but i'ts too pricy for us. Our budget is only LE300/person and no more. We found one at camp chezar which is at the 5th floor! no lift! cost LE1300 but we will have to pay LE2000 for the summer! Another one was at Syatby, floor...i dun remember but doesn't matter bcoz the building has a lift but it cost LE2500/mth! It was very big though. You can fit 10 people into it and still have lots of space. it has a fire place. A very big living room, a dining room with a balcony opposites the seaside. You can see the sea~ It has 2 bathrooms, a kitchen., a gigantic wardrobe..and so on. it's fully furnished of course. It's actually meant for tourists but i think due to the swine flu pandemic recently..not many tourists came to Alex and clearly when there are no tourists, the landlord got no money for their apartments. I would have love to have it since there are so many space but it's too big. I don't think i have time to keep it always nice and tidy, hehe =p plus it's out of our budget. While we were wandering around trying to find an available apartment for rent, we actually bumped into a dog and not juz any dog. It's a black big guard dog! You know, the ones police use for tracking? I am extremely afraid of dogs. We were stunned and it's owner was nowhere in sight. We turned our backs slowly and walk away...slowly. It was terrifying ok. Alas, we ended up with an apartment which cost LE1200/mth including the electric & water bills. The landlady can speak english too. A good bargain i suppose but there's a catch. The apartment is juz nice for 4 ppl, you know what i mean? Meaning if we were to add one more person into the apartment, it will be extremely crowded. Juz to make it clear at how small the apartment is.

Ok, there are more flashbacks actually but i'll stop here for now...
